This girl

This girl I know, I don't know what to say.  She's beyond wired and words put together.  She looks at me from top to bottom and watch my every moves.  She's half on earth and half in lala land, yet, so difficult to get through and not very responsive.  I want to get away, but can't as I have to finish what was started.  This girl I know, what more can I say.  It's almost over and I can't wait.

Saying "No"

A universal word that everyone knows even if he/she cannot speak the language.  Yet, it can be so complex.  I was at a coffee shop this morning.

Me:  Is there a restroom here?
Server:  yes.
Me:  where?
Server: one block from here.
Me: excuse me, where?
Server: The mall.
Me: the mall?

Keeping up

Keeping up is what LA is all about?  My neighbor has a Benz.  I must get one too.  My neighbor added a room.  I'm going to extend my porch.  My friend has a Louis Vuitton bag.  I'm getting a Gucci one.  My sister is getting married.  I better too.  My classmates have a life.  I better pretend that I do too.  I have a decent job.  My phone never stop ringing.  She has a Ph.D.  What?  A Master, that's not good enough?...

Keeping up is what Angelinos do best, someone told me.  They are the most unhappy people in the world, even though they live in one of the most diverse place, has great weather, and has lots of great food.

Contagious

It was your typical morning, I thought.  Saw my neighbor.  Exchanged smile.  And continued forward.  But then, she said to her son, "I'm cold!  I'm cold!  I'm cold!.  Get me a sweater.  Get me a sweater.  It's..."  And suddenly, her words started to get to me.  Could it be?  The sun was out.  It was a beautiful morning.  There were some slight breeze, but it wasn't cold.  And as I continued to walk forward, I could still hear her as she was yelling, "I'm cold!  I'm cold!  I'm cold!..." And suddenly, I turned to my friend and told her "I'm getting a little chilly", and she said, "yeah, I might be too".

Unpleasant loud music

Really?   Do I really have to hear your music.  I know it's good to you, but do you have to play it loud.  I know you like it, but do you really have to blast it.  I know it sounds good when you blast it, but don't you ever considered what others think or have to say?

Are you just trying to annoy those that are around you?  Or are you trying to show-off what you have?  Either way, it's inconsiderate to play loud music if you haven't had consent from those around you.  Don't you know that you are agitating those around you?  Or you just don't care?

It's part of living in a free world.  It's too free and sometimes we're so absorb in our world that we forget those around us.  Or we just don't care cause it's just loud music.  I mean, I'm not stealing or lieing or violating a rule.  And to sum it up, why is it that particular group, ALWAYS, I mean, ALWAYS love blasting their music to annoy those around them.

The Mind

The mind can be so powerful.  It can let you think one way or let you see another way.  It can make you believe something or let you overlook things.  It can let to feel something or see things that weren't there.  It's just powerful.  It controls you whether you let it or not.

What percentage of the "mind" do you use?  Whatever percentage it is, it can have such a detrimental effect, if used incorrectly.  It can lead you to think that someone is after you, that someone dislike you, or that someone is watching you.  Schizophrenia, bi-polar, post-war syndrome, after a break-up, mad-man,  etc... are just some results when the mind have access to you and when you use it inappropriately.

So, it is true, then.  Your mind controls you, not you controlling it.

But, it's not true.  You can control your mind, if you're aware of it.  It's not as bad as you think.  But, the first step is to realize it.

Watermelons

Sizzling hot, sweaty body, almost topless and bottomless, but nothing beats the taste of a nice juicy cold watermelon in your mouth.  Too bad, there are more bad ones than good ones.

How to choose a watermelon that would only melt you down than to taste one that you spit back out.  Ohh, that right one just leaves you dreaming and wanting more even though it could be one of 100s you buy.

How to choose that right one so that you don't have to spend and spend?  Or is there more bad ones than good ones?  Is that the trick?  You, watermelon, you do know how to keep someone wanting.
